Married at First Sight's Michelle Scares David's Family in Sneak Peek

Nobody will stop Married at First Sight's Michelle from being honest about her newlywed experience.

In Us Weekly's exclusive sneak peek of the Tuesday, November 12, episode of the hit Lifetime reality series, Michelle, 38, sits down with her new husband David's family for a casual meal.

What comes next is a candid conversation centered around hopes and intentions.

"My biggest fear -- and it has been from the beginning -- is I just don't want to see him getting hurt because he is going 100 percent into this," David's mom explains.

"I don't want to do that, for the record," Michelle replies. "I do feel like he is fully in this, which is great because I feel like I've gotten a couple of hesitations so I'm worried about that."

The remark quickly raises the eyebrows of David's other family members who begin to question if she is 100 percent ready for the process.

"I just think I'm overwhelmed," Michelle explains. "He's still a stranger to me."

During season 18 of Married at First Sight, 10 singles agree to marry a complete stranger at the altar before enjoying a honeymoon with their new spouse and then moving in together as husband and wife.

After the eight-week social experiment concludes, each newlywed will have to decide if they want to stay married or get a divorce during the show's infamous Decision Day.

This season's experts -- including Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Dr. Pia Holec -- will offer professional guidance for the couples throughout the process as cameras document the highs and lows of married life.

When season 18 premiered in October, fans learned David, 35, was inspired by his parent's successful marriage and excited to find a wife. As for Michelle, she had been single for six years but assured the experts that she was ready for marriage.

Although David's family is confident he has what it takes to make the social experiment work, they are already expressing doubt about whether or not their newest relative is up for the challenge.

"I think if David is fully committed, which he is," David's family says in the sneak peek. "If she's just giving half and not her authentic self, if she does break his heart, it does concern me. He's moving forward and growing through this process. I don't want him to take steps back."

Married at First Sight (produced by Kinetic Content) airs on Lifetime Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
