Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, not long ago welcomed their baby girl. The couple recently took to social media to reveal their daughter's name as Dua Padukone Singh. Many fans were happy to see the daughter being given the mother's last name. However, quickly the news also turned into a meme as everyone started to call the actor 'Dua Ke Papa'. The same comes from a Pakistani social media icon Dua Arshad affectionately called the 'redhead baddie'.

Earlier this year, on the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi Deepika was blessed with a baby girl and a day after Laxmi puja on Diwali, the actress announced that her daughter's name-calling her an answer to their prayers. Explaining the name and more, she captioned the post as, "Dua Padukone Singh | दुआ पादुकोण सिंह 🧿 'Dua' : meaning a Prayer. Because She is the Answer to our Prayers. Our hearts are filled with Love & Gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer"

The name has people drawing parallels between the two 'Dua' and their parents. Many memes took over social media as one of the viral videos by the child icon is where she asks why her father isn't called 'Dua Ke Papa." One user said, Ranveer Singh is now India's version of Dua ke papa. Another fan wrote, "Ranveer Singh is now officially 'Dua ke papa'".
