A 69-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on child pornography charges, authorities said.

Stephen Bojekian appears to be a private investigator and according to his LinkedIn, previously served as the Bergen County Police Chief. Daily Voice could not immediately verify the latter.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Bojekian's Franklin Lakes home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

Investigators found that Bojekian "used the Internet to view, download, and possess items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children," Musella said.

He has been charged with third-degree possession of child pornography and lodged in the Morris County Jail.
