WEST FARGO -- West Fargo Sheyenne senior Cooper Bryant has verbally committed to play football at Minnesota State Moorhead, he announced Thursday, Dec. 19, via social media.
Bryant is part of the 2025 recruiting class.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Bryant played tight end and defensive end for Sheyenne, which won the North Dakota Division 3A football state title this past season. He was a second-team, all-state selection.
Bryant had 23 catches for 342 yards and five touchdowns during his senior season for the Mustangs. He is projected to play tight end for the Dragons.
"He has a good frame, he works very hard and he's a pretty good athlete," said Mustangs head coach Jeremy Newton. "He hasn't even filled into his frame. ... He's not afraid to do the work. That will take him a long ways."
The Dragons received a verbal commitment from Moorhead High School senior Reign Battle earlier this week.
The Dragons have 31 commitments for the 2025 class. The signing period for NCAA Division II football starts on Feb. 5. MSUM head coach Steve Laqua can't comment on committed player until they sign.
