Eleven months after the National Zoo sent its three wildly popular pandas -- Mei Xiang, Tian Tian and their cub Xiao Qi Ji -- back to China, a new pair of bears is set to arrive.
Two men are jailed on accusations they shot another man in the back amid a confrontation in York City close to five months ago.
A third man was also charged, but prosecutors recently decided to drop the case.
Jyaire Beverley, 24, and Antonio McEachin, 33, both of York City, each face attempted homicide charges as well as counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and carrying firearms without a license.
Beverley, specifically, is charged with attempted first-degree murder while his case is now in the county court system. McEachin is still charged with attempted homicide following his district court hearing Oct. 15, court documents show.
The third man, Manuel L. Rivera, 25, was also charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and illegal possession of a firearm. That case was later withdrawn.

York City police allege McEachin and Beverley were involved in shooting the victim, 25-year-old Justen Marrero, in the back and injuring him at North Pine Street and East Gas Avenue in the early morning hours of May 31.
Beverley, McEachin and Rivera allegedly hung out together in front of a house along Pine Street, near the intersection, when Marrero and another man walked by on Gas Avenue, according to charging documents.
The three allegedly started harassing Marrero, while Marrero and the other guy yelled back with police alleging they told the three leave them alone. But the group started following.
Marrero told investigators he heard a shot. He turned and saw one of the group pointing a gun, police alleged.
He began to run. A bullet then struck him in the back as charging documents alleged at least five more shots were fired.
Marrero later helped police identify Rivera initially as the shooter after looking at security video and a photo array. Police also relied on Rivera's Instagram account to identify him, according to charging documents.
Rivera was then charged first in June.
Charging documents show the investigation into him helped lead police to identify Beverley and McEachin as the other two suspects.

Security camera video showed the three hanging out on Pine Street for about a half hour that night.
Police alleged the video showed Beverley and McEachin pulling out handguns at one time. Rivera also was allegedly heard saying, "I want to fight, I want to fight" about 10 minutes before Marrero and the other man appeared on frame, according to charging documents.
While the video showed the group allegedly harassing and following the other two men, charging documents indicate the video cut off when they moved out of frame and didn't show the shooting.
When investigators searched Rivera's phone, they alleged a text conversation showed him explaining that he was out with Beverley that night because they were roommates, and that he was concerned about Beverley drinking and driving, according to charging documents.
"I changed my circle a lot," he stated in a text cited in the charging documents.

The affidavit indicates the text was sent a few weeks after the shooting and about a day before Rivera was jailed in the case in June.
Police interviewed Rivera in August. And while Marrero had identified him as the shooter, charging documents show Rivera alleged to investigators that McEachin opened fire first, followed by Beverley.
Investigators argued the video allegedly showing McEachin and Beverley with handguns shortly before the shooting backed up Rivera's account.
Beverley and McEachin were each charged in the days after that, court documents show.
Beverley was already jailed at York County Prison in an unrelated case, according to the documents. McEachin was jailed when he was charged.

They remain held without bail.
The case against Rivera was then withdrawn in late August under the Latin legal term, "nolle prosequi," court documents show. Police said he's now considered a witness.
McEachin is scheduled to be formally arraigned into the common pleas court in his case on Nov. 12, court documents show.
Beverley's next hearing in his case is set for Nov. 14.
